Bozo is a small app for running a friend-group betting pool. This page explains what information the app collects and how it's used.
Solely to run the app's core features: keeping pools and picks in sync across members, settling rounds, and sending reminder notifications. There is no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and your data is never sold.
Pool and pick data is visible to members of the same pool, as part of the app's normal functioning.
There is one exception: the app's global leaderboard shows the highest-odds winning parlays from across all pools. An entry there shows the pool's name and the text of its picks — never a member's name, username, or any other identifying detail. If you'd rather a pool never appear there, keep its name free of anything you wouldn't want other users to read.
Data is stored with Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider. Bozo also queries ESPN's public scoreboard data to sync real game schedules and scores — this is a one-way, server-side lookup and doesn't involve sending any of your personal data to ESPN.
You can remove yourself from a pool at any time in the app. To delete your account outright, go to Account → Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, your memberships, your picks, and any ticket photos you uploaded. Pools you run are handed to their longest-standing member, or deleted if you were the only member. It can't be undone.
Every entry on the global leaderboard can be reported from the app, and any member of a pool you're in can be reported or blocked from that pool's member list. Blocking hides that person's name and custom bet text from you and keeps their pools off your global leaderboard. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
